The Scottish SPCA is appealing to cat lovers to donate adult cat and kitten food for the felines in the care of their Edinburgh and Lothians Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre.

The centre is currently caring for 58 cats and is running low on wet food, with a specific plea for meat in jelly (not gravy).

Centre assistant manager, Emma Russell, said, “We are currently caring for a high number of cats at our centre and have a lot of hungry mouths to feed.

“Some of our residents have sensitive stomachs which do not like gravy so we have put meat in jelly as a priority on our wish list.

“We’d be so grateful for any donations that people can spare and we know the cats in our care, like Fluffy, will be too.”

Food can be donated via the centre’s Amazon wish list here: https://amzn.to/3lRw3U8 or sent from another online retailer that can deliver. Items can also be handed into the centre reception at Scottish SPCA, Mansfield Rd, Balerno EH14 7JU.
