Forever Care

It’s something that doesn’t bear thinking about – who’ll look after your beloved pet if you are no longer around? If you find yourself unable to care for your pet through illness, a change in circumstance, or even if you pass away The Scottish SPCA is there to help. We help all animals in need and that includes those who outlive their owners, through our free Forever Care service.

What is Forever Care?

Forever Care is a free service which gives pet owners peace of mind that their much-loved companion will be well looked after should the unthinkable happen. If you join the service, you’ll be safe in the knowledge that the Scottish SPCA will take your pet into our care if you pass away or it isn’t possible for you to continue their care.

From the minute your pet comes in to our care, our dedicated staff will do everything in their power to make your beloved companion feel safe and secure. We will ensure your pet is happy and healthy by providing everything they need, including any veterinary treatment, before finding them a loving new home.

Leave a legacy to be proud of

Our Forever Care service is completely free, but we are still entirely funded by the generous support of the public. We need £56,000 per day to prevent cruelty and rescue and rehabilitate animals.

By leaving a gift in your Will, you could help us to continue to deliver free services like Forever Care and help more animals in need. Around half of our income in an average year comes from legacies – without them we simply could not do the day job.
