This beautiful pair of sisters are ready to find their forever home!

Hippo and Joey were born in the centre and after their mum sadly passed away following the birth of the litter, they needed to be hand reared by a member of staff from 1 day old. Due to being hand reared from such a young age, they are extremely well handled and confident wee rabbits.

They have grown up in their foster home and are used to being around small dogs, they could potentially live in a home with dogs however any dogs will need to be used to living around small animals.

Hippo and Joey haven't lived with children however, due to their calm and friendly natures, we feel they could live with children so long as the children know how to behave around rabbits and understand that rabbits like to get attention with all four feet firmly on the ground.

Despite being well handled, Hippo and Joey should only be picked up when required, they will happily jump onto your lap when they want attention.

Due to being hand reared, it has taken them slightly longer to get used to eating different types of greens and any new greens should be introduced slowly so their guts can cope with the change. They enjoy eating their herbs and dark leafy lettuce, they are yet to be introduced to other types of veg or fruit. They are excellent hay eaters which must be encouraged in their new home to keep their teeth in check.

Hippo and Joey could live with another rabbit(s) in their new home, however they would need to be spayed before being introduced to any existing rabbits. Hippo and Joey need to be housed strictly indoors, at least until Spring next year when they are fully grown/strong enough to cope with the change to living outdoors - we feel they would be best suited to living indoors permanently due to how affectionate they are towards humans.

Hippo and Joey will require a large indoor enclosure which provides them with plenty of space to run, hop and stretch. They love interacting with their enrichment and playing with their toys.
