Wombat is looking for his forever home!

This gorgeous little rabbit is one of 5 babies that needed to be hand reared by one of our staff members after their mum sadly passed away after giving birth.

Wombat, along with his siblings, has defied the odds and grown into a happy and healthy wee rabbit. He is a friendly and confident rabbit who enjoys interacting with people. Despite being very well handled, like all rabbits, Wombat prefers to have all four feet on the floor when getting attention but will happily hop up onto your lap for pats.

Wombat will require a home where he has lots of space to explore and express natural behaviours, for example a large pen or a hutch with constant access to a large run. Wombat is used to living indoors and thrives in the company of humans therefore we are looking for an indoor only home where he can be part of the family. Wombat could live with children as long as they know when to give him space and understand correct handling techniques for rabbits.

Like all rabbits, Wombat needs company of his own kind. Therefore we are looking for a home with an existing neutered rabbit who he can be bonded with (bonding experience is desirable but not essential). Initially Wombat will need to be housed separately until he is old enough to be neutered.

Wombat is a good eater who enjoys munching on his hay, his new owner will need to continue to encourage him to eat hay to keep his teeth in check. He is gradually being introduced to greens but it is advised that his new owners introduce any new foods to him slowly to allow his gut time to adjust.

Can you offer this friendly little guy his forever home?
