Pet Aid Community Hubs
Helping keep pets and people together – support at the heart of communities.
With growing demand for our help, and more complex problems facing animals and people, we have been adapting the services we deliver and how we deliver them. In 2023 we launched Pet Aid, providing pet food and essentials to those in need, and in 2024 we launched Pet Aid Veterinary, our pilot community veterinary service.
We know that behind every animal in need there is often a person struggling too, and we know that many people feel they have no choice but to give up a much-loved pet. In 2024 we saw a 24% increase in calls to our Helpline about giving up an animal.
That’s why in 2025 we are expanding our preventative services and going further to deliver more support in the communities we serve across Scotland.
We are making sure that pets and people receive the right help early, in their communities and homes. Helping to keep pets and people safely together.
As part of this expansion we are proud to launch our new Pet Aid Community Hubs in 2025.
At these Hub events, you can get advice about your pets behaviour from one of our animal behaviourists, get a free health check from our community vet, receive pet food and supplies if you are struggling, and get advice about helping wildlife in your community. If you have adopted or fostered an animal with us you can also get advice and support from our team at the Hubs.
We’ll also have partner organisations such as Citizens Advice and SAMH on hand for other advice and support.
All Pet Aid Community Hub events will be listed here as they are confirmed.
