Team members Chloe Fleming and Rebecca Cain from our Dunbartonshire Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre are planning to take on the ultimate challenge – a 15,000ft skydive to raise money for the Society.

Chloe and Rebecca, who are both animal care assistants at the centre, will be aiming to complete the skydive on 31 July.

Chloe said, “We’ve recently taken over the fundraising for our centre and we wanted to start with something big and memorable.

“This is our first time doing a skydive and we’ve been trying not to think about how scary it will be!

“We’re both adventurous although Rebecca is scared of heights and can’t even stand on a ladder without trembling.

“I’m sure when we start the drive to the location the nerves will really set in and we’ll be wondering why we got ourselves into this but we would do anything we can to help the animals we care for at the centre.

“The money we raise will be going directly to improving facilities at the Dunbartonshire and West of Scotland Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre to help animals like Micky and Jackson. They are our longest resident cats, having been in our care for 174 days.

“These lovely boys weren’t able to be handled at all when they came to us but, after months of dedicated work by the team, they will now happily take treats out of our hands.

“We’d be so grateful for any donations and we know the animals in our care, including Micky and Jackson, will be too.”
