Dog found dead in East Kilbride layby

We are appealing for information after a dog was found dead in a layby in the East Kilbride area on Sunday 2 March.

A member of the public called the our animal helpline after finding the dog deceased.

Scottish SPCA Inspector McCrossan, said: “We were called out to a report of a dead dog who looked like she had potentially been dumped. 

“She was a female blue Sharpei dog thought to be around six years old.

“The dog was microchipped but no longer belonged to the registered owner. She was not wearing a collar.

“It is unknown what has happened, so we are asking if anyone has any information surrounding the circumstances of this dog, to call our confidential animal helpline on 03000 999 999.”
