We are seeking the luck of the Irish to find forever homes for black cats in our care this St Patrick’s day.

We currently have nine black cats at ourr Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centres ready to find homes.  These unlucky nine have been in our care for a combined 927 days!

Rehabilitation operations lead Rachael Maclean, said: “We’d love anyone thinking about welcoming a cat into their home to consider rescuing one of ours.

“We have such a variation of temperaments and ages that we’re confident we have a cat to suit most families.

“We’d also like to encourage anyone thinking about buying a kitten to consider adopting a young adult cat instead. They are just as playful and fun as a kitten but a little easier to take care of in so many ways.

“Beeba is just one of the black cats we have in the care of our Highland and Islands centre looking for a home. She has been with us for 303 days.

“This lovely girl but was very timid initially however she has grown in confidence since coming into the centre and now enjoys to come and say hello.

“Although this beautiful girl will come to you if she wants affection we feel a busy household could be a bit too much for her therefore we are looking for a quiet adult-only home.

“Once she has made friends with her new family she would love free outdoor access as she absolutely loves being in the great outdoors.

“As anyone who has rescued an animal will tell you, these cats will be so grateful for a second chance at a loving home. We’d love to see them all happy and settled with new families as soon as possible.”

Anyone interested in rehoming any of these cats can view and apply on our website
