About the Lanarkshire Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre
The Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre (ARRC) in Lanarkshire came under the Scottish SPCA’s wing in 1988. A decade later, the Centre underwent a major transformation, adding an on-site veterinary clinic and expanding its facilities to better accommodate a larger number of dogs, reptiles, and rabbits.
The Lanarkshire ARRC has:
- 80 dog kennels
- Large cattery that can accommodate 30 and dedicated play area for kittens
- Small animal room with 16 spaces for rodents, Guinea pigs and other small furries
- Dedicated rabbitry with 18 spaces
- Ferret room
- Modern veterinary clinic staffed by Scottish SPCA veterinarians
- Wildlife shed providing a safe space for wild animals until they can be moved to our National Wildlife Rescue Centre for treatment.
